Carefully Boosting Facebook Posts

Carefully Boosting Facebook Posts

You probably know that you can post on Facebook to promote your business. Creating free posts, known as ‘organic posting’ can be effective, but is usually not enough to make you wealthy. However, Facebook offers an option called ‘boosting’ posts. This starts with an organic post. You pay Facebook a few dollars and they will expose it to more people. The number of additional people can be remarkable. For instance, you may make a post that is seen by 25 people. If you boost the same post, it might be seen by 400 people.

You can experiment with boosting without spending a fortune. Boosts can be as little as a few dollars per day. The minimum boost is $1 per day for seven days.

You can run experiments over and over again, until you find one that starts to work. That post, you can boost further. Once you know it works you can spend $1,000 per day. Of course you’ll be happy to do so if your profit exceeds $1,000 per day.

You probably figured this out already: Don’t pay more than just a few dollars per post until you find one that works.

On the other hand, don’t be discouraged if your boosted posts don’t work at first. The cost is so low that you can just keep changing things, trying new posts, until you discover what works.

Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social venues have similar paid posting programs. I like to recommend sticking with Facebook at the beginning because it’s easy, is seen by potentially billions of people, and has a low cost of entry.
